Teaching Assistant Job Vacancy - Level 3 (Phonics Experience Required) * Teaching Assistant role in: Hockley, Birmingham * Starting date: ASAP * Salary: £95 - £115 per day * Temporary Contract, ongoing position * Full Time Vacancy: 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday About the Role We are currently seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position at a friendly and supportive Primary School in Hockley, Birmingham. This role will involve working within KS1, supporting the class teacher and pupils with their phonics development. The ideal candidate will have previous experience delivering phonics sessions, with a strong preference for those trained in Read Write Inc (RWI). You'll play a vital role in helping children build essential early reading and writing skills, supporting both whole-class learning and small group or one-to-one interventions. Candidate Requirements You must have: * A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification * Experience supporting pupils in a UK primary school setting * Phonics experience - preferably Read Write Inc trained * KS1 knowledge and experience * The ability to nurture and build strong relationships with children * Excellent communication and teamwork skills * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare * A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one) About the School Our client is a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hockley, known for its supportive staff and strong community ethos.
